Diffusion

The practical today looked at diffusion for AQA Biology 2. The experiment we did used ice cold water versus warm water and the rate of diffusion using a few drops of food dye. The key concept is the idea of energy of particles, concentration gradient and time. 

The equipment needed per group is 2 large beakers, hot water, ice cold water, food dye, pipette and stop clock. 

Add equal amount of food dye to each beaker (hot and cold) and compare rate of diffusion. Make sure water is still before adding food dye.
